Kathmandu : Nexon Venture Pvt. Ltd. has introduced a new electric vehicle (EV) in Nepal with an initial price set at NPR 6,190,000. The new EV, produced by LS Auto, is the first model from LS Auto to arrive in Nepal.
LS Auto is a subsidiary of Shanghai Launch Auto, a prominent auto parts manufacturer and design house in China. The model being introduced is the LEV-01, available in SE and CE variants.
Both variants of the LEV-01 come with the same battery and motor. The vehicle features a 99-kilowatt motor and a 67.1-kilowatt-hour battery pack. The SE variant is priced at NPR 6,190,000, while the CE variant is priced at NPR 7,190,000.
The LEV-01 is designed as a crossover SUV with a length of 4640 mm, width of 1870 mm, and height of 1655 mm. It has a wheelbase of 2760 mm. The vehicle includes 19-inch alloy wheels and offers a ground clearance of 210 mm. The company claims that it can cover up to 500 kilometers on a full charge.
The LEV-01 comes equipped with features such as a panoramic sunroof, wireless mobile charger, electric tailgate, 360-degree camera, Level 2 ADAS system, touchscreen display, hill hold assist, and a multifunctional steering wheel.
The company is in the process of setting up a showroom near Bhaktapur in Naxal and plans to start test drives from next week, according to MyAuto.
