Kathmandu: Prime Minister and Chairman of the CPN UML, KP Sharma Oli, has urged the party line to devote to the activities in a bid to establish the party as a dominant political force in the country.
At a time when the country is consolidating federal republic with peace, prosperity and good governance, any effort that intends to block the present journey must be frustrated, he said while urging party rank and file during a national workshop organized on ‘organizational strengthening at local level’. The workshop was conducted by the UML central office and party organizations coordination mechanism.
“It is a difficult moment at present. We are getting cornered. The forces against constitution are vocally decrying change. I’ve never seen such favour of the authoritarian, tyrannical and feudalist monarchy before,” Chairman Oli reminded, adding that a section of people is intentionally and unintentionally creating negative atmosphere against us.
“Misleading issues and conspiracies are created and spread. Even the good works are defamed with misinformation,” he reminded party line, and urged them to be aware of it.
The Chairman believed the workshop would whet party policy and plans that resolve problems.
The PM commented that the vote base of the Maoist Centre was declining and it would reach as low as 400 to 500 thousand in coming election.
The event was also attended by Vice Chairman Bishnu Prasad Paudel, Deputy General Secretary Bishnu Rimal and Coordinator of Party Organizations Bhanu Bhakta Dhakal, among others.
