Kathmandu – Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian has stated that just because Iran is open to negotiations does not mean it is in a position to bow down or surrender. He made it clear that Iran will advance talks only while safeguarding its sovereignty and legal rights. Pezeshkian said that the Islamic Republic of Iran will participate in diplomatic dialogue while maintaining its respect, strength, and the defense of national rights. He reiterated his stance that under no circumstances will they back down from the legal rights of the Iranian people and the country. He mentioned that Iran will serve its people until the end with logic and full strength, and will protect Iran’s interests and honor.
Iran has also made it clear that it will not make any compromises on its uranium enrichment program. Iranian Foreign Ministry spokesperson Esmaeil Baghaei stated that uranium enrichment is Iran’s right and that pressure from other countries will have no impact. According to him, Iran will not yield to any pressure regarding its nuclear program.
Meanwhile, Iran has once again warned the United States against taking military action. According to Iranian media, Ebrahim Rezaei, the spokesperson for the parliament’s National Security Commission, stated that if Iran is attacked again, it will be met with an even more powerful response. Rezaei warned that in such a scenario, US President Donald Trump would face further humiliation. He mentioned that the US has only two options: either accept diplomacy and Iran’s conditions, or face the power of Iranian missiles.
