Kathmandu: Iran has stated that the response received from the United States regarding its new proposal is currently under review. According to the Iranian news agency Nour, discussions are ongoing between Washington and Tehran regarding a proposed ceasefire document.
Iranian Foreign Ministry spokesperson Esmaeil Baghaei said that multiple messages have been exchanged between both sides based on a 14-point proposal put forward by Iran. He informed that the feedback received from the American side is currently being studied.
He shared this reaction during the visit of Pakistan’s Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi to Iran.
Pakistani Interior Minister Naqvi held a meeting with Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian in Tehran. During the meeting, which lasted for about 90 minutes, discussions reportedly focused on the regional security situation, Iran-US tensions, and bilateral relations.
According to Iranian and Pakistani media, the meeting also covered the rising tensions in the Middle East region and the possibility of resuming Iran-US talks.
Additionally, matters related to bilateral relations, border security, and regional peace were also discussed by both sides.
