Nepal Covid-19: 533 new cases, 484 recoveries, 1 deaths in past 24 hours

Kathmandu, November 9

New Case Alert: 533 new COVID-19 cases are positive whereas 484 people have achieved recovery and whereas 1 deaths have been reported. in last 24 hours.

The Ministry of Health and Population has informed that Nepal’s Covid-19 tally has reached 910,333 as of Tuesday afternoon.

In this period, 14,918 swab samples were tested in the RT-PCR method, of which returned 443 returned positive. Likewise, 1,818 people underwent antigen tests for the virus, of which an additional 90 tested positive.

Of total tests, 2.96 per cent of the PCR and 4.95 per cent of antigen samples returned positive, keeping the overall per-day positivity rate at 3.18 per cent.

As of today, there are 7,612 active cases across the country. Of them, 535 are hospitalized, 199 in intensive care units and 55 on ventilators.

Of the total cases so far, 796,303 people have achieved recovery. Likewise, 11,454 died, according to the ministry. The country’s recovery rate is 97.6 per cent and the death rate is 1.4 percent.

Meanwhile, 43,380 people were vaccinated today.
