The final round of the Nepal Road Racing Championship has been completed. The event, which took place on Friday and Saturday, saw Shrihari Poudel emerge as the winner in the National category, while Dilip Danwar became the first runner-up and Yukesh Thapa the second runner-up.
In the Novice category, Sanskar Bisht became the winner, with Sakar Shrestha as the first runner-up and Rumu Hang Rai as the second runner-up.
The championship was held at the International Sports Complex in Satdobato, Lalitpur, with competitions in two categories: National and Novice. The Novice category included first-time riders, while the National category featured riders who had participated previously. A total of 46 riders participated in the final round.
Prior to this, Round 1 was held at Satdobato, Round 2 in Chitwan, and Round 3 in Pokhara.
The winners of the final round received cash prizes of NPR 77,000, 55,000, and 44,000, along with trophies and medals. Dashrath Risal, the President of NASA Nepal, along with officials from NASA Nepal and Motorsports Nepal, presented the trophies, medals, and cash prizes to the victorious players.
The championship, organized by the Motorsports Nepal Club in collaboration with the Nepal Automobiles Association (NASA Nepal), had Shell Lubricants as the official performance partner for the entire season. Yamaha Nepal was the official two-wheeler partner, while Kavach Gear was the safety gear partner. Additionally, Youth Collection was the tire partner.
The championship received support from lubricant brands such as Valvoline, Repsol, Castrol, Petronas, Gulf, and Everest, among others, with several lubricant companies sponsoring the riders.
With this, the Nepal Road Racing Championship for this season has concluded. Sarjal Vaidhya, the President of Motorsports Nepal Club, mentioned that similar championships will be organized in the future as well.
