Kathmandu: Minister for Energy, Water Resources and Irrigation, Deepak Khadka, has asserted that development of energy, water resources and irrigation sector was necessary to fulfill the goal of country’s economic prosperity.
At a programme organized at the Ministry today, Minister Khadka stressed that employees should perform in a responsible manner for ensuring national objective.
“The goal of economic development set by the government can be fulfilled by utilizing energy, water resources and irrigation. The role of employees assigned in this sector is very significant for the same”, he reiterated.
The Energy Minister expressed the view that the process of transferring employees from one place to another in the ministry is natural and employees should carryout result-oriented activities fulfilling their responsibility and duties.
It is imperative to wipe out public despair, Minister Khadka reminded, mentioning that a time has come for all to take collective initiatives to complete the construction of infrastructures started earlier.
Similarly, Minister of State for Energy, Water Resources and Irrigation, Purna Bahadur Tamang, shared that employees should carryout activities to complete the national pride projects in time.
Energy Secretary Gopal Prasad Sigdel pointed out the need of completing irrigation projects to help generate expected amount of electricity.
Energy and Irrigation Secretary Sarita Dawadi stated that national pride projects would complete in time if budget was guaranteed.
Director General of the Department of Water Resources and Irrigation, Sanjeev Baral, also viewed early completion of national pride projects would increase productivity.
Baral vowed the Department resolves problems emerged in course of implementation of hydro projects.
