Integrated settlement plan does not look effective: Minister Jhakri

Urban Development Minister Ram Kumari Jhakri said that the integrated settlement plan built after the earthquake was not effective.

She said that although the government has put forward the plan of integrated settlement in the policy and program, it has not been effective.

In a meeting with the Nepal Infrastructure Journalists’ Society at the Ministry, Minister Jhakri said that the government had planned to build an integrated slum after the earthquake but it could not be used. The government has been working on the construction of integrated settlements with the same goals and objectives, but it has not been used effectively,” she said. Even if integrated settlements are built, they can be effective.
